New Orleans here we come! Crossing Lake Pontchartrain on a 22 mile long bridge. The roads in Southern Louisianna seem to be mostly bridges.
New Orleans skyline
Here at last!
Bourbon Street
At Cafe du Monde...getting ready to have our first beignets!
Coffee & Beignets...now you see them...
Now you don't! They were delicious!!
St. Louis Cathedral from Jackson Square
Inside St. Louis Cathedral....beautiful
The French Market
Inside the market...time for a little shopping
Below are just a few of the street characters, performers and musicians we saw along the way:
This is NOT a statue...what a way to make a living!
One of the great street bands
These were little kids tap dancing for $
One man band!
This was a dancing "statue"
This guy was something...only one of his many stunts!
So far this woman (in the center) with the clarinet was the most amazing musician we have heard. She also had a beautiful singing voice.
